Boom Days is sad to announce that due to concerns related to COVID-19 and its long term economic and health implications, we will be postponing the full event until 2021. This was a very difficult decision for our board to make, but it is the responsible decision given the amount of uncertainty out there at a time when we would need to start spending tens of thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours of volunteer time to make this event happen in August. We truly value the relationships we have with all of our vendors, many of whom show up every year to help make Boom Days a great event. We want our vendors to have fun, successful and profitable experiences in Leadville and look forward to coming back every August. Aside from the possible health risk of bringing thousands of people into our small community as health officials work to overcome this virus, the economic and psychological impacts of the virus could lead to a much smaller event that would not make the event profitable to our vendors. We hope you understand that this is not a decision we wanted to make, but we feel is the best decision for all of our stakeholders including you.
Over the next couple weeks, we will be issuing full refunds of all vendor fees paid to date. We sincerely appreciate your participation in this great community event with over 70 years of history and hope that you will return next years for the best Boom Days ever in 2021. Should you have any questions, please email us atboomdaysvendor@gmail.com. Thank you for your continued support.
